Welcome to my garden!... This past spring I started germinating seeds in the kitchen and attic so I could start a garden in the backyard. Because this is my first year gardening (and I'm unsure how I want to design my backyard garden), I choose to start a "container garden" for this year's season. The Porch Trio...

On the left, Chives/Garlic; in the middle, Mesclun Salad Mix (Black Seeded Simpson, Red Salad Bowl, Lollo Rossa, Royal Oak Leaf, Arugula Rocket, Radicchio Red Verona); on the right, Double Choice Hybrid Spinach...
All 3 were germinated on June 16, 2009 in the kitchen and moved to the porch on June 23rd.
