Welcome to my garden!... This past spring I started germinating seeds in the kitchen and attic so I could start a garden in the backyard. Because this is my first year gardening (and I'm unsure how I want to design my backyard garden), I choose to start a "container garden" for this year's season. Marigold...

My 5-year-old germinated this in her Pre-K class in April (the week they were learning about seeds and plants) and gave it to me for Mother's day. It has been blooming and growing like crazy and I've had to transplant it twice because it keeps outgrowing the current pot (the last time being June 28th).
