Welcome to my garden!
... This past spring I started germinating seeds in the kitchen and attic so I could start a garden in the backyard. Because this is my first year gardening (and I'm unsure how I want to design my backyard garden), I choose to start a "container garden" for this year's season. I thought this blog would be a fun way to visually document the growth of each plant... and eventually the transformation of my whole back yard! Thanks for stopping by and happy gardening! :)

Beefmaster Hybrid Tomato (Indeterminate)...

I finally went and bought this on June 28th after killing at least 10 or 15 tomato plants. I took off the lower set of leaves/branches and planted it deep so that it will root more from those areas and become a stronger plant. I still have about 20 baby tomato plants on the porch but I don't think these will produce much before the end of the season (if at all), so I'm counting on this one. I think I may go buy a couple more that are well-established. I'm still not sure why I've been so unsuccessful with tomato plants since they are supposed to be easy for beginners.
